A NEW YORK PIGEON

I traveled to New York recently for a grueling multi-day photo shoot. The very last evening I stayed in the penthouse of the SIXTY LES, and by midnight, the talent and client had left. I was thrilled to have a moment to breath, so I went out onto the balcony, and walked to the very end so I could look at the night cityscape.
Now, it’s been a while since I’ve been to New York and to my surprise, was not loving it. Something about its energy just shifted and I could not connect with this city. So, while staring at the pretty lights out in the distance, I said out loud comically “New York…you’re a bitch!”. As I uttered the last word of that sentence a pigeon swooped in from my left, landed on my shoulder and just flapped its wings around. I screamed like a little girl and ran! I was like, “…what the hell? Did I SERIOUSLY, just get attacked by a pigeon, at midnight, out of nowhere? Who the hell does that happen to?” I had to laugh, cause in all honesty you couldn’t have written that shit better. I think it’s safe to say that was New York’s way of telling me to simply go F myself!
